2017-2018 Concert Season
We have one final concert to complete the 2017-2018 season, and it will be a day to remember. We hope you'll be able to join us for this very special performance.
June 23, 2018 - "Rhapsody!" - American Musical Classics

To bring the season to a triumphant conclusion, we will be presenting "Rhapsody!", a program of American classics featuring the West Coast premiere of Michael Fennelly's arrangement, for chorus, orchestra and solo piano, of George Gershwin's 1924 masterpiece "Rhapsody in Blue". Michael is a supremely gifted young pianist and composer and a dear friend of our choir. We couldn't be more excited that we have been chosen to perform this piece for the first time on the West Coast, The program will include other Gershwin pieces, together with American choral classics from Bernstein, Copland and Gottschalk, also featuring the vocal talents of the gifted soprano Megan Weston. As a married couple, Michael and Megan are a true musical partnership!
After the concert, we will be presenting a gala reception with Dr Fennelly and other honored guests. Saturday, June 23, 2018, 4:00pm Geneva Presbyterian Church El Toro Road, Laguna Woods Gala Reception will follow the concert, with celebrity guests. |
